BULK BUY SOLAR DEAL

The Offer

Sunbeam Solar is offering a bulk buy solar deal for 1kw grid interact solar systems in the Tweed Valley area in a 20 kilometer radius of Murwillumbah and Mullumbimby.

This offer is valid until 30 May ’09.  We need at least 20 successful applicants to be able to make this offer.  At the moment we have around 40 interested applicants.

The systems will comprise of 6 x Sharp 175w (Model NT-R5E3E) (1050watts total) solar modules and a Latronic PV Edge 1200e inverter.  These are premium solar panels with 25 Year manufacturer’s Warranty.  The Latronic PV Edge is an Australian designed and built grid interact Inverter with a 3 Year Warranty.

The total system price is $12,545.  Of this the Government through the AGO SHCP rebate programme for eligible applicants (ie  $100,000 means tested) will rebate $8000.  Sunbeam Solar will carry this rebate on the eligible client’s behalf.

The REC renewable energy certificate belongs to the owner of the solar system and they can trade these through reputable REC dealers.  For a 1kw solar system there are approximately $900 worth of RECs (approximations at December ’08).

The total out of pocket expenses then payable by the client before REC’s is $4545.  This includes modules, inverter, frames, protection, cabling, switchboard modifications necessary for solar, and installation.

Out of pocket expenses after REC’s is approximately  $3645.

The standard system on which this offer is based includes the aforementioned componentry and assumes that the roof is safe, of metal construction, single storey, panels are flat-mounted and that the switchboard and the electrical installation is up to standard.  Switchboard upgrades and any other electrical work is not covered under this offer.  In areas where the Inverter is exposed to the elements an enclosure will need to be added and that is an extra $180.

As Sunbeam Solar is carrying the rebate on behalf of the clients, to assist them in making it easier to come up with the money we would like the difference of $4545 paid as a deposit at the time of order.  This deposit is refundable although a small charge for administration ($250) will not be refunded.

Upgrades

The cost for applicants wishing to upgrade to a 2kw system will be an extra $8500.  This is for 6 more Sharp 175w solar modules and framing and a Latronic PVEdge 2500e grid interact inverter.  Alternatively clients wishing to have a 1kw system upgradeable to a 2kw at a later date that is a 1kw array with a 2kw inverter will have to allow an extra $900 for a Fronius IG20 or an extra $980 for a Latronic PV Edge 2500e.  Applicants wishing to take up the 2kw option must notify us at the time of rebate application.  Applicants who choose this option will be eligible for approximately $1800 worth of  REC’s.
